The Chiriqui Gulf is referred to as the 'Lost Coast of Panama' and is located on the Northern Pacific Coast of Panama. There are lots of little Islands in the area that are for sale and the area is great for fishing, boating, diving and anything else water based. This area is not overpopulated and is still an area in Panama that bargains can be had!!

The location is easy to get to whether you are flying into David (1 hour) driving from Panama City (5 hours) or coming from San Lorenzo (20 mins). There are various flights between David and Panama City and David to San Jose, Costa Rica everyday.

The Gulf region stretches from Coiba Island right up to the Costa Rican boarder. the Island of Coiba is great for Sportfishing and is know in Panama as one of the best spots in the world. This area includes the 14,600 acre National Wildlife Reserve-La Barqueta Beach, the 36,400 acre Gulf of Chiriqui National Marine Park and the 667,000 acre Coiba Island National Park. There is also a Marina near David called the Pedegral Marina which has mooring available as well as a concrete pier and boat launch with dry dock storage facilities for boats of 30 feet or less in length.

The Chiriqui Gulf area is an area that has seen development in some areas however we are sure there is much more to come as this area becomes more accessible. Two of the main areas of development is Boca Chica and Boca Brava and these areas are seeing positive growth and market prices. Within the year there will be a 5 star super luxury fishing resort in the area of the Archipelagos de Paridas, that will fish for the world record breaking game around the Islands. There is also a dive center and hotels planned for the area and we are sure within 5 years this area will be very popular.

There are plans to build a main road from Horconcitos to Boca Chica however with most things in Central America they take their time, however with the new efficient Government it should not be too long!!
