Tranquilo Bay is built within the rainforest above the mangroves of one of the Archipelago Islands called Bastimentos. Only a 45 minute boat ride from the main Isla Colon Island of Bocas del Toro, the hotel is ideally located near National Parks, Coral Reefs and is such situated that it is private and secluded. The hotel was the idea of 4 Texans, whose aim it was to build a place of harmony, tranquility and relaxation so that people can get away from their everyday lives.

There are 6 intimate private tropical cabins on the hotel grounds, of which 4 have Ocean Views and 2 have Jungle views. The cabins are very luxurious with solid wooden beds, hammocks, porches, marble bathrooms, AC and a seating area for relaxation.

There is a main lodge set high above the rainforest with spectacular Ocean views which are great to watch the sun set. The main lodge has a library area, upper decking for drinks or morning coffee and a communal eating area.
