The Gamboa Rainforest Resort is situated on the Gamboa section of the world famous Panama Canal only 30 minutes from Panama City. The hotel allows guests to be in the middle of the rainforest while having the luxuries of a finer hotel. The hotel is next to the famous Lake Gatun and the Chagres River which feeds the Panama Canal its fresh water.

The hotel is located upon 340 acres of rainforest and is located in the middle of the 550,000 acres Soberania National Park. Each of the Resort's 155 oversized, air-conditioned luxury rooms offer a balcony overlooking the hotel gardens and picturesque views of the river and forest. There are also Villas available that used to be occupied by the old Panama Canal administrators that guest can stay in.

All of the 155 rooms contain minibar, electronic safe deposit box, satellite TV, crystal showers, hair dryers, makeup mirror, iron/ iron board, coffee/ coffee makers, monogrammed robes, fire protection system and balconies overlooking the Chagres River and the Rainforest.

The Gamboa Resort has 3 fine dining restaurants that cook a variety of local and International Cuisine for its guests. Los Lagartos restaurant, down by the Canal offers views of ships passing through the Panama Canal while eating. There are numerous bars on the property as well as 2 pools, a fitness suite and spa facilities.

The hotel offers guests a variety of tours: Canal Passages, Monkey tours, Peacock Bass fishing and many more.
