If you are looking for a hotel where you will get to interact and live like the native Indian tribe of Panama, the 'Kuna', then this is the place for you. Situated on Uaguitupo Island, a private Island directly across from the indigenous Kuna island community of Achutupo, the hotel is easily accessible on a 20 minute flight from Panama City. Then once at the Achutupu Terminal, you will be transferred to the Lodge by a motorized dugout canoe. After settling in, breakfast will be served at the Bohio dining room. Lunch and dinner will feature delicious, fresh seafood from the area (please let us know if you cannot eat seafood). Upon arrival you will be taken across the stretch to the native Kuna Island to meet the local people and see their way of life and traditions. You also will have the chance to see and purchase the famous Molas (textile panels) that the Kuna are famous for making.

The Lodge has in total 9 Kuna style cabins, all equipped with comfortable queen sized beds, inside fresh water showers and toilets. Power is generated from 6:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m.

There are a variety of tours in the area such as snorkeling, kayaking, visiting neighboring beaches, however a great tour is a visit to the Kuna cemetery to watch their morning rituals.

The package includes 3 meals a day of Seafood, transportation to and from the terminal by dugout canoe and a visit to the local Kuna tribe.
