Currently there is no direct flight from London to Panama and the only international airport in Panama is Tocumen International Airport that is currently being totally refurbished for the expected increase in tourism. If you fly with an American airline provider you will automatically fly through the US and the down to Panama City. Normally the flights from Europe will arrive into Panama in the evening, so it is best to spend your first night in Panama City.

The airlines that fly into Panama City from the UK are Continental, American Airlines, Delta, Taca and Lacsa. A rough estimate for flights is around £550.
